THE BELTWAY

At the July 24th City Comprehensive Plan Update Public Input meeting the citizens voted against an outer arterial beltway stating Montrose does not need an outer arterial beltway and that they did not like certain aspects of the plan. Additionally, the plan was indirectly voted against in terms of the highest priority of concerns in planning for the growth of Montrose.

Priority of Issues of Concern for Montrose future growth, in order of importance to citizens:

1. Traffic

2. Loss of small town flavor

3. Loss of open space and agricultural land.
